About Lame-O Records

Lame-O Records is an independent record label founded in Philadelphia in 2012 by Eric Osman. We release music we love, regardless of its commercial potential. We care deeply about how records look and feel, and in tandem with our artists, design them with care. Independent record stores are central to what we do - as cultural hubs and artistic spaces, not just retailers. We support our artists with a thoughtful and individual approach. In an increasingly algorithm-driven hellscape, we continue to operate on instinct and joy, and release great music for the good people out there who are still capable of listening.

We at Lame-O give a percentage of our income on a monthly basis to Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity and Beyond The Bars. Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity provides free legal advice and representation to low-income Philadelphia residents whose criminal records are holding them back from achieving their social and career potentials. Beyond the Bars work to combat problems facing our community such as divestment, mass incarceration and the impacts of trauma by working to build safe and accessible music programs throughout our neighborhoods where students can learn to be songwriters and express their emotions
